Is the Nimble Bar School Program in-person or can I participate virtually?

Currently, we are only offering the course in-person (Victoria and Comox, BC, Canada). However, we have a free, short online course that is available: The Five Most Influential Cocktails which is a great way to dip your toes into bartending. We also have a recipe e-book The Cocktail Guide: The Easy Way To Learn The Art & Joy Of Mixing Drinks available for purchase. How long is the bar school program?

The course takes place over 6 consecutive weekends (exceptions for some holidays), usually from 12:30PM to 2:PM on Saturday and Sunday. Thatā€™s 18 total hours of in-class instruction plus homework assignments.

Does Nimble offer any accomodation for out-of-town students?

Unfortunately not, but there are options for local hostels in Victoria!

I donā€™t have any/only have very little experience bartending. Can I take the course?

Definitely! Many of our students are beginner bartenders. You may have to spend more time studying outside class than others who have some experience under their belt, but as long as you show up with a positive attitude and fully participate, youā€™ll be just fine!
